SANA'A CONFERENCE: THE OVERCROWD OF OFFICIAL STATEMENTS WITHIN THE OFFICIAL ADDRESS MOMENTUM

When holding Sana'a conference on Democracy and Human Rights became imminent, the civil society organizations started looking for complaints against the government which , for a long time , compelled such organization to accept what they consider as rulers-related interests. Searching for translators , to translate the conference statement, had been undertaken by those aspiring for reaching a semi solidarity and/or support by the foreign delegations having some knowledge of democracy. The journalists took the precedence over those went to the conference in an attempt to face up to the Yemeni journalists' syndicate draft law which is currently submitted to the parliament for approval . The statement rejecting the Yemeni Journalists' syndicate draft law was published in the mass media without any objection, as it (the law ) defines the syndicate action as a voluntary one . In addition, the international treaties –Yemen had signed – guarantee the right for the citizens to organize themselves and their internal relationships, according to internal regulations agreed upon by the organizations members without the authorities' tutelage. The Yemeni journalists syndicate is the only one contingent upon a law . It was sufficient for the Journalists to obtain the democracy preachers' solidarity, however, they ( the journalists) were frustrated by the answer, of " No peace without justice" organization representative , that her organization is not responsible for looking into such issues. The answer of the information minister was more convincing, as he maintained that the syndicate draft law will not be approved by the parliament; rather it will be left for the syndicate's members to decide. Likewise , the foreign minister emphasized the government would withdraw the law from the parliament .
