PARLIAMENT BEGINS DISCUSSIONS ON ROME AGREEMENT

SANAA, January 17 (al-Shumoo) – It is expected that on the 19th and the 20th of this month, the Parliament will begin the discussions on the Rome agreement at the International Penalty Court with the participation of the Red Cross and concerned officials. The agreement has been approved by the Cabinet on an earlier occasion and it has been leaked out to the press that pressure was exerted on Yemen to accept this agreement. Meanwhile, it has been reported that a GPC official assured that no pressure was exerted on Yemen to approve the agreement.
