HIS MAJESTY’S MESSAGE CONVEYED TO SALEH

SANA’A — President Ali Abdullah Saleh of the Republic of Yemen has received a message from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said dealing with bilateral relations and regional and international developments of concern to the two brotherly countries. The message was conveyed to the Yemeni president by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, minister responsible for foreign affairs, when the president received him here yesterday. President Saleh asked the minister to convey his greetings to His Majesty the Sultan along with his best wishes for His Majesty’s good health and happiness and the Omani people’s further progress and prosperity. President Saleh and Alawi discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them. They also dealt with the Regional Conference for Democracy and Human Rights, which commences here today and the importance that is attached to decisions that boost democracy and respect for human rights worldwide as well enhance the role of the International Criminal Court. Alawi is heading the Sultanate’s delegation to conference.
